New file context menu windows 7
I still don't know why it happened,and how it return normal. The problem remains after revocery. It is really weired. I think there is something of policy or registry to block the context menu under some circumstances, maybe someone knows that can explain how to avoid such problem.

This is the file extension's ProdID. Set the Default value to whatever you would like the context menu new item to display as. Thanks Ben, this is the same as the solution suggested by Anders, which didn't do the trick for me. Basically I have 3 filetypes I want to create a "new file" menu items for,. Yes, I noticed they were similar but Anders' solution didn't work for me because of, as I found out later, the FriendlyTypeName issue. So, I thought I'd post it as an answer.
