I have tried doing as suggested but I started with , then then and finally I own all of these licenses so I thought I would go there first. I was able to install all of the software on my Windows 10 platform but when it comes to restoring the file, I am unable in ANY version. It allows me to open the file but then I have to update it to the latest version so I hit YES and it runs for a long time and finally stops and I get the message that my file was NOT restored.

I set compatibility mode to Win 7 and then it complained about Internet Explorer 8, to enable it in the add remove programs or something. But all I can enable is IE So I think either way it just won't install in Win As for the last workaround, try install it on compatibility mode Win 8. If the same error persists, you don't have any choice but upgrading your QB Desktop version.

I couldn't update the '07 files while in Win 10 due to QB not installing. Opened and updated the 3 files in Then installed QB and opened and updated the 3 files.
