Mention of a rose window and five stained glass windows in the Sanctuary which were made in Munich. Abrasive sculpted and frosted glass door panel in a late Victorian-era style, this door panel has a bevelled glass edge. Design details are relief-carved for three dimensional beauty. An abstract by Thomas Smylie. Made entirely with mouth-blown antique glass and a Lamberts white-flashed opal background.

Additional detailing with bonded laminations of colour, painted graphics and lead came extensions. Beautifully detailed abrasive-carved glass maple and oak leaves. The entire piece is hand cut and patiently sculpted, one leaf at a time, to produce a stunning three dimensional artwork. Executed on laminated safety glass. An abstract composition influenced by Thomas Smylie's late 's training as an audio engineer, this artwork references the Moog synthesizer. Made entirely with mouth-blown antique glass, the piece includes dome jewels, etched circuit board layouts and Thomas's favourite white-on-clear flashed opal by Lamberts.

The Glass Studio made extensive use of fractured-stringer glass in it's compositions and this panel is a perfect example. The symmetrical design is framed in a custom made painted pine sash. County Down was a showroom favourite. It features The Glass Studio's hand-made, fused leaf jewels along with amber cast jewels from Germany.

Youghiogheny's gorgeous rippled 'water' glass is used to beautiful effect in the border, along with banding elements and colour accents. The background uses subtle shade variations of English muffle. A lovely window made to showcase the subtle beauty achieved by using similar shades of mouth-blown German and French antique glass, accented with tiny 'globs' of clear glass.

Varying lead came widths are used for emphasis and to animate the composition. A vibrant composition balancing solid black glass with fused black stringer glass and texture. Multiple rows of bevelled glass capture and refract light for sparkle and contrast.

A ribbed pattern glass border completes the design. A tour de force of stained glass design and craftsmanship, this showroom window was featured on our website for years as an example of our best work. Requiring almost hours of patience to make, this window features The Glass Studio's 8mm custom hand-made bevels combined with our best art glass and an alternating border of 44 round and square German turquoise double-faceted jewels.

The background is Lamberts mouth-blown clear craquel. Framed in a refinished antique sash. Made with a beautiful colorless background of Lamberts mouth-blown 'reamy' glass with design elements defined by Youghiogheny Art Glass opal colours and surrounded with a custom bevelled glass border.

Made with mouth-blown Lamberts antiques and hand-fused glass, ARC juxtaposes carefully selected large and small scale architectural pattern glass textures for stunning visual impact.

Lead came widths vary to animate the composition. This wonderfully animated abstract was created for display at The Glass Studio's Britain Street studio as an example of our kiln-fired, painted glass. The line-work and shading details were accomplished using traditional glass paints, applied both by brush, sponge and rag, then permanently fused into the glass by firing.

Mouth-blown and machine-made cathedral glass is used for texture and colour. Framed in gray-painted steel angle. The paisley design elements are defined with a variety of richly textured colourless glass choices. Simple geometry made distinctive with a mouth-blown amber rondel, amber 'pinwheel' jewels, pencil bevels, clear antique glass background and a streaky glass border. Size 24" wide x 24" high". Varying lead came widths animate the design.

Framed in white painted sash. A simple and charming trellis design with leaves we made by custom fusing two sections of streaky art glass. Stained glass window in the Art Nouveau style, this elegant design is made with Youghiogheny Art Glass and a custom bevelled glass border. The floral elements are set in a background of subtle texture, accented with faceted jewels.

Hand-tapered lead cames. Made with fabulous 'ring-mottle', opalescent art glass and custom-fused glass stamens in the centre of the blossom. A colourless textural glass creates the perfect background. Unframed, it has a zinc perimeter came that can be fitted with tabs so it's easy to hang. The panel measures 13" high x 27" wide.

Framed in pine sash, ready to hang.

Abrasive sculpted 12mm float glass with textural laminations on the back. This piece is designed to be wall-mounted with The Glass Studio's solid brass, hand-made fittings and comes with a custom black backboard to show glass shading effects to their best advantage. The glass edges are polished.

The piece measures 24" wide x 36" high. Designed in a classic late 's style, this transom features mouth-blown rondels and faceted jewels. The pastel background colours authentically reproduce Victorian-era English 'muffle' textures. The centre is etched with a Victorian-era motif and the border is a traditional 'ruby' red.
