Fantastic Dish Pointing App Jan 7, By SEC Dominance. I set up the satellites in settings I needed to look at for Dish, went to the spot my dish was mounted on my pole, and held my phone up to the sky. I had an ever so slight obstruction on the sat and the sat was totally obstructed. With that said, I went to work.
Had to remove three obstructions that were causing issues and now I have a totally unobstructed view of all the birds I need. Best around Apr 2, By New to apple too. We travel in an RV and always looking for a spot to set up the dish. The ability to have a satellite favorite list is so handy. With the use of the phone screen view you get a clear picture of where the satellites are in the sky and possible obstructions is great.
Nov 28, By Michael Lewis. You're very easy to use and provide the best general location location for the satellite you're looking for. Very smart and handy application. Apr 18, Please keep up the good and creative work guys. May 21, By deb van. Really helped me set up my Directv satellite dish at our RV Park. I truly believe I never would have been able to find the signal without this app even though it took me 3 hours of trying!
Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of basically no directions on how to use the app. But, that being said, thanks for the help Satellite Pointer app! Works great! Jul 27, By mike the map dude. Worked great! We downloaded the app, looked for three satellites all having the same orientation, degrees- used the compass to line up our Dish TV receiver dish and VERY satisfied.
Apr 24, By Samuel Mosher. Use this for work. Only apk I can find that still works in complete dead zones, where I install satellite internet. Thank you for creating a real satellite finder! Worth every penny. It is extremely precise. I'd pay dollars for the apk if I had to. Cheaper than a real incliometer. Also I double check on 3 different androids phones, and I notice that is only works as well as the devices compass works.
So don't blame the apk, if you cheaped out on a fing phone. A camper must have Aug 5, By meadowriver. I purchased my King tailgater today. Set everything up using my iPhone compass. No signal. Downloaded the app and wow! I viewed the satellite in the sky and had a tree in my view.
Moved my dish from rear of camper to the front and bingo, clear view, perfect picture. I was off about 25 degrees with just my compass.
Thanks for a useful app more. See all positive reviews. Oct 19, By Woo Hoo. I see nothing but a black screen with a message "upgrade to Pro". None of the buttons work. Completely unusable. Jan 7, By Maurice Berger. Disappointed with pro Oct 6, By HogHoss. Thought the free version was great in showing ar view of satellites. Decided to buy the pro version to help align dish. Liked that I could select what satellites to show in ar view.
But when I selected Ciel 2 satellite and tried align dish and locate, the satellite was not in the same location that it had been in ar view.
Using the settings in azimuth and elevation did not give me connection to the satellite. Would recommend using the free app and a cheap satellite finder rather than paying for the pro version. May 27, By Tom Drury. I bought the pro version. I like the app as it shows satellites and I can set favorites to unclutter the screen.
App does provide bearings to targets but there no method or procedure to cororlate app info to pointing dish. Is there a way to place phone on dish so you can use phone display to point dish? Do you want main satelite in center of display? If not I do not see a lot of value in app. Sep 30, By Jason Johnson. I upgraded to the pro version for the extra feature but still have the base version. Reinstalled and reactivated the pro but same results.
If not fixed I will be requesting a refund and leaving a bad review. Sent this email to every address I could find with no response can't believe that the overall rating is as high as it is I got absolutely nothing advertised for my 4. Was in a hurry and didn't read but a couple of reviews as I did later and discovered many other with the same results as I more. Great when it works Sep 19, By 28ruby. I have tried several times to use this app but when I try to locate the satellite it is about degrees off of where the satellite is.
